A system-generated random number is applied in each room type preference indicated by the applicant, in case the demand for a particular room type is greater than supply - in which case, allocation to the room type is determined randomly. In the case that applicants are not assigned to any of their preferred room(s) due to high demand and limited supply, they will be assigned to any room on a random basis.
Successful hall applicants who are current residents in Spring 2023 and indicate the same preference as their current bedspaces in the hall application of Residential Year 2023-24 are likely to be assigned to their current bedspaces subject to room availability.
Couple Room Allocation
Allocation of couple rooms is subject to proof verification and room availability. Applicants who request for couple room MUST indicate it as their 1st preference. Otherwise, their application for couple room will NOT be considered. In case the demand is greater than the supply, applicants will be allocated to other room types and added to the waitlist for couple rooms. They will receive notification once couple rooms become available.
